Leta 1828 so ga postavili deželni stanovi v spomin na deželnega glavarja Ferdinanda M. Attemsa – ustanovitelja zdravilišča.

Na Ferdinandov predlog so namreč leta 1801 deželni stanovi odkupili zasebna posestva in začeli z organiziranim zdraviliškim turizmom. Bronasto poprsje grofa je izdelal dunajski kipar Leopold Kisling. Na današnje mesto, pod hotel Aleksander, je bil postavljen leta 1991.

In 1828, it was set up by estates of the country in memory of the provincial governor Ferdinand M. Attems – the founder of the Spa.

On Ferdinand’s proposal, in 1801, the estates of the country bought private properties and started with organized Spa tourism. The bronze bust of the count was made by the sculptor Leopold Kisling from Vienna. In 1991, it was placed in front of Hotel Aleksander, its current location.
